Lindsay Patterson, LCSW

Hello and welcome!

As a licensed clinical social worker with an extensive background in school-based mental health services, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and their families and have expanded my practice to include young adults. Regardless of age, my professional journey is dedicated to helping clients achieve meaningful, sustainable change.

I partner with parents and caregivers who are seeking guidance to help their children and family units flourish. Whether it’s strengthening relationships, improving communication and boundaries, or establishing structured routines, my goal is to provide practical guidance and empower families to navigate challenges and move forward with confidence.

Areas of Expertise:

  • ADHD (hyperactivity, impulsivity, inattention) and learning differences

  • Disruptive behavior, such as opposition, defiance, and aggression

  • Emotional dysregulation, including mood disturbances, depression, and anxiety

  • Anger management and stress reduction

  • Navigating major life transitions and adjustment challenges

  • Interpersonal, social, and peer challenges

  • Relationship concerns

  • Family conflict and household disruption

  • Trauma

My approach is warm, humorous, strengths-based, and solutions-focused. Common evidence-based modalities I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-based techniques, and behavior modification. I am passionate about helping clients cultivate a growth mindset, recognizing that perspective is not fixed. By shifting how we perceive the world, we can transform significant obstacles into meaningful opportunities for personal development.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our two sons. I love game nights with friends, evening walks with my family and our wiener dog Beans, and traveling. I also find joy in reading and am an active member of a local book club. These personal passions keep me grounded and energized, allowing me to show up fully for the clients and families I serve.
