Lindsay Patterson, LCSW

Hello and welcome!

I'm a licensed clinical social worker and have an extensive background in a school-based setting providing mental health services to children navigating:

  • ADHD (hyperactivity, impulsivity, distractibility)

  • disruptive behavior (opposition/defiance, verbal and physical aggression)

  • emotional dysregulation (mood disturbances, depression, anxiety)

  • anger management

  • stress or difficulty adjusting to change

  • trauma

  • social/peer challenges

  • relationship concerns

  • life transitions

  • family conflict/disruption

  • learning differences

I have also supported parents and caregivers who are seeking guidance to help their children and family units flourish, whether it’s helping them to strengthen relationships, increase healthy communication and boundaries, or create and implement clearly identified expectations and structured routines.

Although I have primarily served families and children ages 6-12, I am eager to expand my clientele to adolescents and young adults. Regardless of age, my goal is to help clients move forward in life with meaningful, sustainable change.

My approach is warm, humorous, strengths-based, and solutions-focused. Common evidence-based approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-based techniques, and behavior modification.

Outside of professional life, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and our two sons. I love game nights with friends, evening walks with my family and our wiener dog Beans, and traveling. I also find joy in reading and am a part of a book club with 11 other women. These personal passions keep me grounded and energized, so I can show up fully for the clients and families I serve.
